Adam Wilk Called Up To The Show!

Former Orleans Cardinals pitcher Adam Wilk (Long Beach State) was called up to the Detroit Tigers today. Wilk pitched for the Cardinals in 2008 and was named to the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star team. Wilk pitched in 21 games and threw 32 innings for the Cards in 2008. He finished the season with a record of 2-1 and an ERA of 1.69.

Wilk joins former Cardinals pitcher Ryan Perry (Arizona) in the Detroit Tigers bullpen. Perry pitched on the Cape in the summer of 2007. Wilk was drafted in the 11th round of the 2009 MLB Draft.

    i'm a huge rutgers fan and nyisztor (ss) and gebler (p) are playing for them this year...aany word on their prospectus?

  2. As far as I know, the rotation is never really determined until early July.

    This is because a lot of roster transactions take place early on. Some guys are signed as temporary players. Players are added. Others are released. Some sign with Team USA. Others show up late because of the College World Series.

    A lot can happen but usually its all sorted out by early July.
